Military Miracles tells the stories of three Marines, and their chaplain from the 1st Battalion, 5th Marine regiment during the first weeks of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
As they enter Iraq in March 2003 and their regiment fights through the desert and into Baghdad, they experience a number of inexplicable events which can only be described as miracles.
This program tells their stories and how these miracles changed their lives.

The French Fourragere is a symbol of American heroism in the face of danger. The 5th and 6th Marine regiments did not waiver against a well-armed, reinforced enemy. Napoleon awarded his troops the Fourragere for displaying gallantry in battle.

Our April 10, 2003 story, shared by Lieutenant Colonel Michael S. Groen and Contributors of the Occasional Paper, History Division, Marine Corps University, Quantico, Virginia in 2006.
My name is Ryan Ackerman, and I had the great privilege to serve with Alpha Co. 1st battalion, 5th Marines from 2002 to 2005, serving in OIF I, OIF II and OIF III. These were some of the best 3 years of my life!!!! I was asked if I could create a new logo and some epic swag for the Apache Co. 1/5 family, by Gunny Omar Valdez back in November of 2020.
At the time, I had more than enough going on in my life to make an excuse, but this allowed me a rare opportunity to give back to the brotherhood that helped raise me into the man that I am today! Luckily, I’ve made great connections with super supportive friends that were able to support me with fulfilling this rad request.
Apache Co. 1st Battalion 5th Marines now wear our Apache company "War Face"!
I asked for the Marines to always wear this with the utmost pride, for your brothers, that stand next to each other today, the brothers that had fought for this highly decorated company over the years, and for the Apache Marines that fought in battles but never lived to see another day.
Stay True, Apache 1/5!
Cpl. Ackerman
There is no better friend, and no worse enemy than a Marine.
