1stSgt's Hill hike & Memorial Saturday April 8, 2023

 "Make this your initial meeting place for your squad and friends.  General Padilla will be on hand to personally welcome everyone.  Pick up your information packet and name tag.  Buy some cool swag.  Have a beer while you make plans for the evening.   The Planning committee will be on hand to answer questions and give directions as needed.  This hotel is also where the buses for those who do not have base access will be arriving and departing from.  

This event is the only time as a Marine when you are invited to NOT arrive promptly at the 1700 start time.  Our space is limited to about 220 people at a time.  Stagger your arrival.  If it starts to get congested, keep the line moving!"

Timeline is subject to change due to situation on the ground due to weather. Final decision will be made week prior to the event.

· 06:00 Busses staged for pickup at Courtyard by Marriot Hotel 3501 Seagate Way, Oceanside, CA 92056.

· 06:20 Busses depart for 62 Area San Mateo

· 07:00 Hikers begin arriving at staging area for hike. Please reference map for staging area location. If you are hiking, you need to have your Hold Harmless and Medical Screening filled out and turned in. No form no hike. 

· 07:30 Step off on hike for top of 1stSgt Hill.

· 0730-0900: Movement to top of 1stSgt Hill.

· 09:00-09:30: Ceremony and look around.

· Speakers: Chaplin Cash, General Padilla, 5th Marines Command Member comments.

· 0930: Depart location for 62 Area.

· 0930 to 11:00: movement to 62 Area.

· *0800-1130: 62 Area activities for non-hikers.

· 1130-1200: Ceremony at 62 Area Paraded Deck.

· 12:00-1330: 62 Area activities.

· 13:30: Load Busses Depart 62 Area. Drop off at Courtyard by Marriot Hotel 3501 Seagate Way, Oceanside, CA 92056 around 14:30
